WAKARUSA, INDIANA

This is one of the miniature buildings at the Bird's Eye View Museum in Wakarusa, IN. It's kind of hard to make out the lettering on the building, but the white letters at the top say, "Chase Bag Factory" (on the left) and "Goshen, Indiana" (on the right). The red letters up top say, "Bag Factory." They were made out of a sparkly/shiny substance to represent the fact that this was a neon sign on the original building. You can see the street address on the wood below the building. The man had two whole rooms full of miniature replicas of real buildings in Indiana. If you want to hear a radio spot that was done on this museum, including an interview and partial tour with the owner/creator DeVon Rose, click here. It is about 9 minutes long and you must have Real Player to hear it. It's probably the closest you can get to being on the tour without actually going there. (This spot aired on the Eight-Forty-Eight program on the Chicago station WBEZ on April 26, 2002.)

GURNEE, ILLINOIS

THE KATINA PERRY IGLOO ROOM SECTION

This was the jacuzzi in our room at The Adventure Inn in Gurnee, Illinois. We had booked the Igloo room. The main theme of this room, as you can probably guess, was penguins. =)

This is the doorway to the actual bedroom part of our room. Notice the little friend up there to welcome us. =)
